North America covers Canada and the United States of America (USA). This vast territory features amazing natural spots, buzzling cities and fascinating wildlife.

Basic facts

Population: 386 million (as of 2025)
Currency: Canadian dollar in Canada or US dollar in the USA ($). Check the current exchange rate for each currency here.
Language: in addition to English being spoken in both Canada and the USA, French is also an official language in Canada.
Best time to visit: if you’re into the cold and winter season, North America will be your paradise since it’s a perfect location for skiing and cozying up by the fireplace. Canada and the northeastern part of the USA are known for their harsh and snowy weather. In case you’d rather visit taking advantage of milder temperatures, then explore North America during the spring and fall season.
Fun fact: Death Valley in California is the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level.

🧡 Noisy firecrackers, incredible art pieces in the form of fallas and ninots, traditional music, elaborate costumes and delicious food. It’s always a joy to come back to this beautiful destination. Despite the moody weather, it was a warm experience.

🆕 POST: Lying in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains near the French border, Jaca is a small city in the Huesca province. Despite its manageable size, it offers an incredible combination of medieval heritage and breathtaking landscapes.

A few popular attractions in Jaca include:
🦌 Ciudadela de Jaca: a 16th century military citadel, with deer grazing in the moat!
⛪ Jaca Cathedral & Diocesan Museum: one of the most important monuments of Spanish Romanesque art along the pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago.
👣 Paseo de la Constitución: running in parallel to one of the sides of the imposing Citadel, this scenic promenade lined with trees is ideal for a relaxing walk.
🕰 Torre del Reloj: a Gothic clock tower built in the 15th century guarded by the statue of Ramiro I, the first King of Aragón.
