The CN Tower is Toronto's most famous place

Right after visiting the stunning Niagara Falls, we crossed over to Canada and headed to Toronto. Located on the shore of lake Ontario, this Canadian city is one of the most important destinations in the country. Keep reading for tips on what to see and where to eat in Toronto!

What to see in Toronto

Our trip to the capital of Ontario was rather short and we didn’t get to spend more than a whole day there. In any case, to be honest with you, I didn’t really like Toronto. I found it was a modern city, full of skyscrapers like New York, but with a lack of character.

Here’s a list of the places we saw in Toronto:

  • Toronto City Hall
  • Waterfront
  • Downtown, including the Hockey Hall of Fame.
  • CN Tower: defining the Toronto skyline at 553.33 meters high, the CN Tower (also known as the Canadian National tower) is Canada’s most recognizable and celebrated icon. It functions as an antenna broadcast and can be visited (we didn’t because the tickets were over 30$/adult!).
  • St Lawrence Market: visit this brick market for delicious fresh products from both merchants and farmers.
