From Montreux to Interlaken on board of the Goldenpass Railway

A daytrip to Lausanne & the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces
We spent a wonderful Saturday having wine with friends in an area by lake Léman close to Lausanne known as the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces. The weather was lovely and this was the best way to say good bye to summer.
‘Désalpe’ in Les Charbonnières & Romainmôtier
Bonn & Köln
I was twice in Bonn and Köln this year, the first one in September and the second one in November.
Former capital until 1991, Bonn is a city in western Germany straddling the Rhine river. It’s known for the Beethoven House, its Münster (a church with a Romanesque cloister and Gothic elements), the old city hall and Poppelsdorf Palace. It also houses a UN Campus with 20 organizations ranging from climate change to volunteerism.
Back home in September (part 3): ‘fiestas’ in Fuenterrabía
Every time I go back home I try to stop by Fuenterrabía, and this time around was no exception.
This fishing village is one of the most beautiful in the Basque Country and the food is delicious! Besides, the village celebrated its yearly Alarde while I was there at the beginning of September.
