Reserva Nacional de Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa (I)
After visiting the surreal Uyuni salt desert, we headed south towards the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve. The beautiful landscapes in this remote part of Bolivia surprised us even more with lots of wild animals, unbelievable rock formations and active volcanoes.
First impressions of Bolivia (II): Tarija
Generally speaking, the city is a bit messy and with street dogs everywhere, but the pace is slow and the climate and wine make it enjoyable. We already found an apartment here, including a swimming pool so I think we'll have a good two years in Tarija!
Jordan (part VI) – Ajlun castle, Umm Qays & Jerash
During the last leg of our trip, we visited the castle of Ajlun as well as the ruins in Umm Qays and Jerash. The latter was the perfect way to end our visit to Jordan!

First impressions of Bolivia (I): La Paz
D-day finally came and we were ready to fly to Bolivia. The adventure begins! But first, let me tell you a few basics about the country. Bolivia houses 11 million inhabitants, the official capital is Sucre but the working capital (the seat of government) is in La Paz, and the country has recognized 37 official languages. The ‘Escalade’ race
Each year, on the first Saturday in December, the most popular sporting event in Geneva takes place in the old town : the Escalade Race. This event is for everyone - famous international runners to beginners, children and adults alike. Some people even dress up! Distances run vary from 2kms to 8 kms depending on the category All the races take place in the narrow streets of the old town and finish in the Bastion Park.
