My Friday discoveries
An ‘unpresidented’ weekend
What an 'unpresidented' weekend it was! I have to admit I did not attend any of the big events these days in Washington DC, nor Trump's Inauguration nor the Women's March.
Instead I decided to stay at home and declutter my apartment - see related post here.
Colombia (part III): Cartagena de Indias
We landed in Cartagena de Indias on Wednesday evening, and this was the last leg of our Colombian trip. This colonial city was my personal favorite in our trip to Colombia. Let me show you why!
Colombia (part II): Medellín
Colombia (part I): Bogotá
My friends and I decided to spend a different Thanksgiving this year, so we headed to Colombia! Follow us on this trip that took us to Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena de Indias.
Hippy Halloween
I had so much fun this past Halloween. On Saturday night I went to a Halloween party with my friends and I decided to recycle my own clothes in order to become a hippy in full style. I also went for a walk around Mt Pleasant and Georgetown to check out the Halloween decorations.
Visiting Mt Vernon by bike
After our unsuccessful attempt back in January 2015, this time I made it and I managed to visit Mt Vernon,
Mount Vernon was the plantation house of George Washington, the first President of the United States, and his wife, Martha Dandridge Custis Washington.
Exploring Hains Point
Hains Point is at the southern tip of East Potomac Park, and offers beautiful views of the Potomac River, Anacostia River and the Washington Channel. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and trees, the area is a popular destination for a delightful picnic and relaxation in Washington DC.
