After a few months of dating my boyfriend, it was time to meet my in-laws! So I flew from Geneva to Madrid to do just that (including a lot of eating of course).
Upon arrival to Madrid on Friday night, my boyfriend drove me to Majadahonda in order to met my in-laws and his grandma. They were all very nice and welcoming and we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the terrace.
Majadahonda is a residential suburb in the northern outskirts of Madrid. It is quite pleasant since it’s quite small (roughly 70K inhabitants).
On Saturday, we went to the Herrería golf club located in San Lorenzo del Escorial and had some snacks there while enjoying the view of the monastery. After that, we had a great lunch at the Sala restaurant in Guadarrama. We then popped by the residential area of La Llama, where my boyfriend’s family used to spend part of the summer. In the evening we went to the Equinoccio Mall to do some shopping and met with my boyfriend’s friends later on to enjoy Majadahonda’s fiestas.
On Sunday, I accompanied my boyfriend and his Dad to the Fresnillo shooting range. They hunt during the winter and needed some practice! We had an appetizer at the nearby Naturávila golf club. After that, we ate some traditional cocido madrileño and it was then time to fly back to Geneva!
