Travel recaps

Travel destinations around the world

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be a once-in-a-lifetime event. For the first time ever, the world’s biggest football tournament will be hosted across three countries — namely Canada, Mexico and the United States — and played across 16 host cities throughout the American continent. In this travel guide, I’m approaching the World Cup from a traveler’s perspective. I’ll focus only on destinations I’ve personally visited and covered on the blog, sharing first-hand insights to help you plan a trip that goes far beyond the stadiums. Whether you’re planning to attend a match, follow the tournament across several cities or simply experience the FIFA World Cup atmosphere in one iconic destination, this guide will help you understand where the games will be played, what each city is like, and where to find more in-depth travel inspiration.

Spain

Located in the heart of Spain, namely in the Castile and León region, Segovia is one of those places that is often overlooked. Luckily, we took advantage of a recent family wedding in July 2025 to road trip throughout the Segovia province at our own pace. From the iconic capital city of Segovia itself, to lesser known but still charming villages, this area abounds with cultural treasures and serene landscapes. In this travel guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know to plan your trip, from the best destinations in the Segovia province, to what and where to eat, where to stay and so much more. At the end of this post, I’ve also included a map so you can easily pinpoint all the locations mentioned here.

Morocco

In this travel recap, I’ll share the highlights of each including the best things to do, what to eat or where to stay. And if you’re already planning your adventure, stick around until the end for a handy map and a few more Moroccan cities that are still on my travel wishlist.

I love the Nordic countries, and I´ve been lucky to visit all of them -except for Finland - various times over the years be it on a solo travel, with friends, on a work trip or with our family campervan. These destinations have so much to offer that I thought it would be a good idea to do a recap of all those trips. At the end of this post, I've also included a map so you can easily pinpoint all the locations mentioned here.
