Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival
The Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival was one of the things in my bucket list before leaving DC. This festival is the city´s largest all-local music benefit in support of Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region.
DC discoveries: National Arboretum
Today I finally went to the National Arboretum with a couple of friends.
This place had been on my DC wish list for a long time but I had not managed to visit it up until now that I am about to move to Geneva in Switzerland.
Cuba libre (part II) – Viñales
Viñales is famous in Cuba and worldwide for its tobacco plantations. We visited this area as the second leg of our trip to the country.

Family reunion in NYC
I was in NYC last weekend because my cousin came to visit New York and we met there. We really enjoyed exploring the city together!
The perfect tropical getaway in Miami & Key West
I just came back from a memorable long weekend in Miami and Key West to celebrate one of my best DC friends' 30th birthday. Nothing beats tropical vibes by the Atlantic Ocean, that's for sure!
Sackler Gallery & National Museum of African Art
Here I am again with another episode in my 'Friday Discoveries' series, including some cool museums located in Washington DC.
My Friday discoveries
An ‘unpresidented’ weekend
What an 'unpresidented' weekend it was! I have to admit I did not attend any of the big events these days in Washington DC, nor Trump's Inauguration nor the Women's March.
Instead I decided to stay at home and declutter my apartment - see related post here.
(inspiring) minimalism
Less is more.
We have all heard that.
But what if I told you that I have experienced it myself and it is making me happier?
