Explore some of the most beautiful cities in Galicia (Santiago de Compostela, la Coruña and Pontevedra) and nearby Portugal.

Galicia, a region located in Spain’s northwest, is comprised of 4 provinces: La Coruña, Lugo, Orense and Pontevedra. It is a verdant region with an Atlantic coastline. The cathedral in the regional capital city of Santiago de Compostela is the reputed burial place of the biblical apostle Saint James the Great, and the destination for those following the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. The western cliffs of Cape Finisterre were considered by the Romans to be the end of the known world.

Even if you had not heard of Galicia before, I am sure you are familiar with Zara or Massimo Dutti, some of the brands of Inditex, a firm owned by Galician Amancio Ortega. Its famous headquarters are in Arteixo, la Coruña.
