One new house, two weeks, three moves
I don't know about you, but I find moving in and out is a constant feature when living abroad. As an expat, you're brand new when you arrive to a destination and have no clue about the best places to live, have fun and so on. After you've settled in for a while, you start looking for the perfect house. I've been there, so this is the story about my third and last move in Washington DC (I hope).
Around NOMA
Named for its location north of Massachusetts Avenue in Washington DC, NoMa is an emerging neighborhood with modern developments rising from old industrial lots. In its southern end, beaux-arts Union Station houses a shopping arcade.
Fall in Washington DC
Washington DC is a beautiful city all year round, but I find it looks at its best during the fall season. There are falling leaves everywhere and the colorful trees become the perfect backdrop. Follow me on an autumnal itinerary throughout the USA's capital.
