A fall getaway in Virginia
A few days before celebrating my first Halloween in the United States, I went on a weekend getaway to Virginia with three other friends. We spent that couple of days enjoying walks in the middle of nature in Shenandoah National Park, cozying up in our wooden cabin and soaking up all things autumn including pumpkins and colorful leaves.

Famous for its groundbreaking architecture as well as its cultural and educational institutions, it is also home to President Obama. Family road trip (V): exploring Amish territory + Philadelphia
The last leg of our summer road trip took us to Pennsylvania, where we explored the Amish county of Lancaster as well as Philadelphia. Check out our itinerary below!
Family road trip (III): Niagara Falls
Family road trip (II): Boston
After spending a few days in New York and Long Island, it was time to explore Boston. Known as the capital of the state of Massachusetts, this was one of my favorite stops of the entire summer road trip. Founded at the mouth of the Charles River and with a population of about 600,000 inhabitants, the city has played a fundamental role in the history and culture of the United States, being the birthplace of the well-known Kennedy.
