It was great to be back home for some birthday celebrations including my own. As you will see in the next few posts, the stay was short but intense!

One of the first outings was a reunion with some DC friends coming from the Basque Country and far beyond. I felt so happy to gather again like in the good old times to catch up.

What we did was a hike along the coast from Gros in San Sebastián to Pasajes de San Juan (also known as Pasaia in Basque). I had never done it before and I would definitely do it again as the views were stunning. It took us around two hours and a half to complete the hike. I believe the catch up talks kept us well entertained. 🙂

Once we got to Pasajes Ancho, we crossed to Pasajes de San Juan by boat.
This village is a fishing community, a commercial port and the birthplace of the fighting admiral Blas de Lezo.

We had a delicious lunch at the Kantina Alabortza, overlooking the Pasajes estuary and the nearby Atlantic Ocean, and then had coffee at the Plaza Santiago.

I’ve read several excellent stuff here. Certainly price bookmarking for revisiting.
I wonder how much effort you place to make this type of excellent informative site.
