The United Kingdom, also known as the UK, is an island in northwestern Europe. Between 2017 and 2019, I did my fair share of telecommuting while my boyfriend studied in Oxford and I was living in Geneva (Switzerland).

From the bustling city of London to the lovely cottages spread around the UK countryside, this destination has a lot to offer.

Good to know when travelling to the UK

They drive on the right hand side! Be careful if you’re used to doing it the other way around, especially when crossing the street.
It rains quite a lot in the UK, so always remember to take your umbrella with you. A warm cup of tea will be your best friend too.
