Jordan (part VI) – Ajlun castle, Umm Qays & Jerash

Wadi Rum (The Valley of the Moon), depicted as Mars in several Hollywood feature films, is a Jordanian jaw-dropping location. Home to nomadic Bedouin tribes, Wadi Rum is a a quiet getaway of stars, sand, and sun. Once inhabited by the Nabataeans of prehistoric times, Wadi Rum allows you to get lost in large landscapes and horizon lines.
Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you. It does need to be seen to be believed! Learn more about this New World Wonder located on Jordanian soil.
Heading now to the second leg of our Jordanian trip: the world famous Dead Sea, the holy site of Mount Nebo and Madaba, the city of mosaics!
We finally made it to Jordan and to its capital: Amman! I had been dreaming of coming here since my boyfriend suggested the idea. We spent the New Year holidays and it couldn't have been more magical. Follow our road trip throughout this Middle Eastern country starting in Amman!
