Asia

Asia is the furthest I’ve ever traveled from home. I was fortunate to visit Pakistan both in 2015 and 2016 for work and I loved the experience.

If you’re up for unique adventures, on this page you will find useful information about the region including basic facts, what to see and do while you’re there as well as my travel-related posts. Enjoy!

WELCOME TO Asia!

Basic facts

  • Population: 4.600 million
  • Language: the most widely spoken across the region are Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Bengali and Japanese.
  • Territories: Asia comprises 48 countries according to the United Nations.
  • Best time to visit: since Asia is such an immense territory, this will depend on the specific country you’re heading. For example, if you’re exploring India, try to avoid the monsoon season going from June to October. On the other hand, visit during March to May to experience the cherry blossom in Japan.
  • Fun fact: the continent features 12 landlocked countries.

Things to do

Admire the Great Wall of China

Wander around the old streets of Lahore (Pakistan)

Drive through the iconic Pamir Highway along Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan
