Staycation in Geneva
We're enjoying summer in Geneva swimming in Lake Leman, watching movies outdoor at Ciné Transat , eating well and just enjoying life. It's a real #staycation!
Montreux Jazz Festival
This summer we checked off one of the activities you must do when you live in Geneva : go to the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Winter in St Cergue
St Cergue is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Given its proximity to Geneva (only 40 mins away), I’ve been there a couple of times already, snowshoeing and skiing.
Strolling around Neuchâtel, Yverdon-les-Bains & Morges
My Dad and my brother have been visiting us in Switzerland for a few days and we've taken advantage of that to discover some Swiss gems. Follow us to the beautiful cities of Neuchâtel, Yverdon-les-Bains and Morges!
Cologny
Cologny is a municipality in the Canton of Geneva, just in front of my office across Lake Leman. It houses the World Economic Forum and plenty of houses belonging to millionaires. You can reach Cologny by foot (although it is uphill and very steep) or by bus.
A busy weekend with friends: UN Open Day, Chillon castle, Lausanne & Geneva
A couple of Spanish friends came to Geneva to pay me a visit and we spent a very busy weekend full of activities around the city. In addition to strolling around Geneva, I invited them to the United Nations headquarters, where an Open Day took place. We also visited the famous Chillon castle on lake Léman and the Olympic city of Lausanne.
Exploring Geneva & its surroundings
As I've told you in previous posts, we've been recently exploring Geneva and its surroundings quite a lot. We've enjoyed summer in the city, although the sunny weather is now coming to an end. Let me show you my favorite spots so far!
Discoveries beyond Geneva: Bern, Gruyères & Évian-les-Bains
I'm slowly adapting to my new life here in Geneva. Besides, it's been great to have some of my best friends coming to pay a visit in order to start exploring a bit outside of Geneva. Every August, Geneva hosts an annual summer event known as Fêtes de Genève, including a grand fireworks display.
Zurich
Last Friday afternoon we took the train from Geneva to Zurich. It took us almost 3 hours to get there but the ride, which went by the lake for a while, was very pleasant. The arrival to Zurich's Hauptbahnhof and the sight of the Landesmuseum (the Swiss National Museum) next to it were impressive too.
