Located in Latin America, Colombia is a vibrant country and one of the highlights to this colorful region. From the busy life of Bogotá to the colonial city of Cartagena de Indias or the idyllic beaches on the Pacific and the Caribbean coasts, Colombia has plenty to offer.

Is Colombia safe? Back in the 90s, the country was infamously known for its cartel wars among drug traffickers. Nowadays though, Colombia is a welcoming destination for tourists and locals alike. This being said, you should always keep your eyes and ears wide open and avoid any potentially dangerous areas.
