I was in Mallorca over the weekend and really enjoyed the sunny weather over there! Would you like to discover the best spots on the Spanish island? Keep reading then…
On Saturday morning we wandered around Llucmajor, where some beautiful hotels such as Marriott’s Club Son Antem, Hilton Sa Torre and Son Juliá are located. After that we drove to Porreres to get our yearly portion of sobrasada at Can Not. This Balearic delicacy is a raw, cured sausage made with ground pork, paprika, salt and other spices not to be missed. We spent the remaining of the day in Sant Elm, from where you can easily take a boat to the natural park of Sa Dragonera. This little island is mostly populated by lizards, you’ll see them everywhere! The views from the Tramuntana lighthouse are spectacular too. Finally, a quick swim in the beach of Sant Elm was the perfect way to finish off our excursion.
On Sunday, we visited the cathedral of Palma, which I always find breathtaking and elegant. If you go there around 11am, chances are you’ll hear choir kids singing during the service. After that, we walked along the numerous boutiques and cafeterias on Passeig des Born. There are two foodie places you shouldn’t miss on the way: Mallorca Delicatessen Mateu Pons and
Forn del Santo Cristo in order to try the local pastry (ensaimada).
